Pilates is the perfect, low impact exercise for anyone looking to strengthen their ‘Centre’ (deep abdominals and pelvic floor muscles aka ‘core’ muscles), gain greater flexibility, improve their balance, their strength generally and their posture. I’m sure you will be amazed by the benefits you will see and feel. Whatever your age and level of fitness, Pilates has something for you. I have clients who run and cycle extreme distances. I also have clients who want to maintain their balance when out walking.
In my classes I combine Pilates with functional fitness, to enhance strength, functional movement and flexibility, leading to improved balance and overall physical well-being. My classes are fun and dynamic, and I teach rather than instruct, passing on my knowledge and assisting each member of the class to enhance their Pilates experience, rather than instructing from the front. Please see my testimonial page to see what my clients think of my teaching and classes.
I trained with the Pilates Foundation in 2017 with Leila Coppock of Bodywise Pilates in Salisbury. The Pilates Foundation is widely regarded as the gold standard of Pilates training, requiring a minimum of more than 500 hours of formal training over 12 months. I also have a teaching qualification with Buff Bones, a movement system of body conditioning for bone and joint health. I run matwork classes for up to 12 people from beginner to intermediate level. My small class size allows for plenty of personal attention for everyone. However, I also teach on a 1:1, 2:1 or 3:1 basis for more focus on your individual needs.
